While I'm at it here's another running technique tip that will help you run a little more smoothly with less energy! It's the idea that you should be driving your arms backwards instead of forwards in front of you. Now my arms do go forward of course but they don't cross the center line of my body. The crazy thing is that when I intentionally do this and bring my armas forward in front of me I can feel the instability and I can feel my lower legs working harder to stabilize everything upstream!

Obviously there's a lot of nuance involved with this but here are some general tips and thoughts if you are struggling to consume calories before or during your runs. And I have good news for you, it does not need to be complicated, take for ever, or require a bunch of equipment. Follow me and then comment or DM me “simple strength” and I’ll send you over some routines to get you started with that can be done in 10-20 minutes a few times weekly.
